The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

Why Relay?

At Relay, every person in the community has a chance to celebrate, remember, and fight back. And every person who participates joins others around the globe as part of this worldwide movement to end cancer.

No matter why you take part in Relay, however, one thing is clear: with every step you take, you are helping the American Cancer Society save lives.

Registration Details…

Pre-Registration $25

• Register by mail using the
  attached registration form. Must be
  received by June 1^st
• Registration forms can be dropped off at State Farm Insurance, 400 N Pearl Street, Ellensburg
• The entry fee includes your race
  
  packet, T-shirt, beverages and treats after the race and the chance to participate in Relay for Life festivities.
• Youth registration fee is $20 (Age 12 and under) 

Late/Race Day Registration $30

You may register on the day of the race between 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
All late and race day registrations are not guaranteed a T-shirt!

Race Day…

Hope Run starts following Relay for Life Opening Ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

5k Course
The start and finish line will be on the Ellensburg High School track/football field. Gates open at 5:30pm. This road course will incorporate a beautiful view of Ellensburg from Reed Park.

Awards
-The first 3 runners in both the Adult and Youth categories will receive medals.-All participants are encouraged to stay and participate in Relay for Life festivities.
Race Proceeds

100% of all proceeds from 2011 Hope Run will go to the American Cancer Society.

The following waiver must be signed to participate in this fundraiser event:

I recognize that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I have read the race flyer and am familiar with the course, procedures, and rules. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers of the Relay for Life – Hope Run 2011, its directors, officers, staff, and volunteers, the city of Ellensburg, WA. and its employees, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
